FROM GETTING IN TOUCH TO THE BIG DAY

WHAT TO EXPECT

It isnt a given but, their is a chance that you are looking for a wedding photographer for the first time & like most couples you haven’t done this before. So you are not sure exactly what it is you are looking for. So outlined below is a brief explanation of what the different stages of booking me to shoot your beautiful big day are.

INITIAL WEDDING ENQUIRY

This is no more than you getting in touch and saying hey we are looking for a photographer for this date and wondered if you are free. I will check my calendar against your date and hopefully give you the good news that I am free and we can look at opening up some conversation.

PRE WEDDING CONSULTATIONS

We want to make sure that we are all singing from the same hymn sheet right? So there are going to be things you want to talk about throughout the run-up to your special day. Usually, I will sit down with you at least twice. The first will just be to get to know each other (don’t worry I don’t bite, despite my grumpy-looking resting face) this can be in person over a coffee, video meeting or phone call. Whichever suits your needs. The second consultation will be closer to the wedding day when hopefully you have booked up all your services and have a timeline of how the day will play out. On this meeting, we will break down the day’s timings and locations of where I need to be and when. Then just discuss if you have any more requirements from me if we haven’t discussed them already. Also, I am available to answer your questions at any time in the run-up to your wedding day, just drop me a message, email or the old-fashioned phonecall and ill do my best to answer your queries.

CONNECTION SHOOT

It is totally worthwhile doing this. You may not have been photographed by a professional as a couple before and so what better way to build a rapport between our two parties? The connection shoot gives us a chance to “work” together and put you at ease in front of the camera. So I don’t just turn up on your wedding day and start firing off my cameras at you both. What should you expect, well it is literally just a walk in the park, or the beach, or maybe your favourite woodland. If you have a spot that’s special to you then we will head there (within reason and at this point unspecified distance). If you have children, bring them along. Or maybe a beloved dog, again bring them along. Or don’t it is entirely up to you. All final images will be uploaded to your own private gallery where you can download and keep them completely free of charge.

ON THE DAY

I will be there from start to finish. So whilst the make-up artist and hair stylist are doing their thing, so will I. I will document the day from start to finish. So prep, outside the ceremony, the ceremony, post-ceremony, group photos, cocktail hour candids, wedding details, reception entrance, speeches (I’ll take a break whilst you eat, no one looks good with a mouth full of food) cake cutting first dance couples portraits and just about everything in between.

AFTER THE DAY

Next, you will hear from me will be me sending you some sneak peeks. Chances are you want to say thank you to everyone for joining in your special day and social media is the perfect way to do this. So I want you to have some of your bangers to allow you to do so. Then the work really kicks in. I will cull through your photos, however many thousand there are and then edit each and every one to my own unique style. You will then get these in your own private online gallery. Share with whomever you choose (don’t worry you can keep some back for yourself) and then have complete freedom to download or print. You will have a print store connected to your gallery where you can order your own wedding album, but I do offer a wedding album service for an extra charge if that is something you would rather do. I really appreciate your feedback and so will send you a link for your testimonial of my service. Like I said these are great for me and are really appreciated.
